Jagath is an entrepreneur and experienced executive with a background in founding and leading innovative software companies. He was co-founder, chairman & CEO of Clarix LLC, where he led the team that developed the first fully web-integrated randomization and trial supply management system with the industry’s shortest deployment timeline. In 6 years, until its acquisition by Phase Forward (now Oracle), Jagath led Clarix from a three-person startup to a 100-person multi-national company serving 3 of the top 5 and 11 of the top 25 pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Subsequently, he was a corporate officer and a member of the operating committee at Phase Forward. Jagath was also a co-founder of Jamity Records, an independent record label which produced several albums, and a co-founder of Mixette, a digital gifting startup. He is the recipient of the 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year award for Greater Philadelphia and is an investor in technology startups and an advisor to entrepreneurs. Jagath is also currently a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Eastern PA Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He holds a B.A. in economics with a concentration in public policy from Swarthmore College.
Rob has overall responsibility for the company's operations worldwide. Rob joined Suvoda as Vice President of Client Services from NextDocs Corporation where he was Director of Services, leading a cross-functional team of consultants responsible for the implementation of NextDocs quality, regulatory, and clinical content management solutions for customers in the life-sciences industry. At NexDocs, he helped scale the company by growing the services team from 15 to 50 employees in three years. Rob joined NextDocs from Clarix/Phase Forward where he was a manager of IRT services leading cross-functional teams that implemented over 100 IRT systems for clients ranging from small biotechnology firms to large global pharmaceutical companies and CROs. Rob holds a B.S. in biology from Lafayette College. He lives in Conshohocken, PA where he enjoys playing golf, and cooking with his wife using fresh ingredients from their garden.
As Executive Vice President, Marius is responsible for the operation of Suvoda's Bucharest and Barcelona offices. Prior to his current role, Marius led the engineering team that released the first version of the Suvoda IRT system and managed the production hosting and corporate IT operations. He started his career at Clarix where he managed the global IRT development staff and grew the development team from two to 50+ employees distributed across multiple time-zones and continents. He holds an M.S. in e-business from the University of Economic Studies and a B.S. in computer science from the University of Automation & Computer Science in Bucharest, Romania. He is a scuba diving enthusiast and explorer, and enjoys tennis, reading, and virtual gaming.
Marc has spent his entire career in the eClinical technologies space, with most of that time focused in the area of IRT. Having spent years on the client services side, Marc has worked with 7 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies and 6 of the top 7 CROs to design, implement, and maintain IRT solutions across a variety of therapeutic areas. As a Co-founder and Director of Business Development at Suvoda, Marc uses his IRT subject matter expertise to provide creative solutions to customers’ problems, all while growing Suvoda’s business globally. Marc enjoys creating long-lasting relationships with customers and colleagues and loves brokering introductions within his network. Having graduated from Lafayette College with a degree in biochemistry and minor in music, Marc enjoys cooking and traveling with his wife.
As Chief Software Architect, Adi oversees the architecture and design of the company’s software products and provides guidance and mentorship to the implementation services team. Adi has designed and developed software in the e-clinical space for over a decade, at companies including Clarix, Phase Forward, and Oracle, with a particular focus on randomization and trial supply management applications. His experience ranges from implementing complex trial designs to building new frameworks, integrating with other industry software, and developing design-time tools and testing automation solutions. He is a hands-on architect, passionate about coding and solving technical challenges. Adi has a bachelor’s degree in engineering and computer science from Politechnica University of Bucharest. Adi lives in Denver, Colorado, where he enjoys the outdoors with his wife and two kids.
Scott has spent his entire career in the life sciences technology industry, holding senior leadership positions at companies including ERT, Oracle, Phase Forward, WebMD, and Parexel. As Senior Vice President of Product Strategy, Scott oversees Suvoda’s product roadmap and vision while leading the teams responsible for development, management, and marketing. Prior to this role, Scott acted as VP of Strategic Partnerships at Suvoda, developing strategic initiatives for sales and business development, as well as establishing and enhancing Suvoda’s business partnership relationships. Scott is a versatile leader with a proven track record in consistently delivering new product and market strategies for startups and Fortune 100 companies in the life sciences and healthcare software application industry.
As Vice President of Talent, Culture & Employee Care, Mela leads people strategy and operations at Suvoda. Mela has over a decade of experience applying the science of human behavior to organizational strategy and design across various Fortune 500 companies, government, and philanthropic organizations. Prior to Suvoda, she led the consulting team at Context Partners, a company providing strategy consulting services in the area of organizational development and innovation, where her clients included Nike, Eli Lilly, UBS, IKEA, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Microsoft. She has a passion for building engaging workplaces that encourage employees to realize their potential and do their best work together. Mela holds a degree in Biological Foundations of Behavior with a specialization in Neuroscience from Franklin and Marshall College. In her free time, you can find her connecting with friends and family, creating art, and learning as much as possible about whatever topic has recently piqued her interest.
As Vice President of Operations at Suvoda, Ryan leads the software testing teams in global client services and product development, as well heading an operations team responsible for driving efficiency and process improvements. Ryan has over a decade of experience in the life sciences industry, at companies including Clarix, Phase Forward, Oracle, and Endpoint Clinical, including leadership roles in software testing, technical delivery, and product management, with a strong focus on quality and risk management. Ryan has a passion for innovation and exploring how his teams can use new technology to improve overall quality and efficiency. Ryan holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Widener University. He lives in Newark, DE with his wife, where he is an avid golfer, animal lover, and a lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports.
Liz is an IT compliance professional with over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Suvoda as Director of Compliance & Quality, she spent 12 years as a Senior Manager in IT compliance at AstraZeneca where she led teams specializing in computer validation, agile software development, quality audit and process improvement. As the Vice President of Compliance and Quality, She owns Suvoda’s Quality Management System and ensures that Suvoda’s processes are compliant with applicable regulations. She is passionate about process improvement and working with new methodologies that shift the regulatory compliance landscape towards improved product development. She is a Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor, and she holds certifications in ITIL and CMMI. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Penn State and an M.S. in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs from the Temple University School of Pharmacy. Liz enjoys visiting family on the Gulf coast of Florida and relaxing at home in Wayne, Pennsylvania, with her two teenage boys and her two dogs, Woody and Wally.
With over 25 years of financial experience in software technology, Dave has successfully lead finance teams in high growth entrepreneurial environments, capital raising, Mergers & Acquisitions, and scaling mid-market multinational businesses. Prior to Suvoda, Dave held CFO roles for two private equity backed technology companies both culminating with successful investor exits (LiquidHub Inc. and Longview Solutions Inc.). Dave also acted as CFO and International Controller for Shared Medical Systems based in Madrid, Spain. He started his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance from Drexel University. Dave has two daughters and lives in West Chester, PA where he is a Jeep enthusiast, fanatical about Philly professional sports teams, and an even bigger fan of his daughters’ various endeavors.
Jim has overall responsibility for the company's sales in North America. Jim joined Suvoda in 2016 from Veeva, where he was Director of Enterprise Sales, leading the team responsible for selling enterprise content management software to clinical, quality, and regulatory groups within Top 30 Pharma companies. Prior to Veeva, Jim held positions of increasing responsibility at leading e-clinical software companies such as Oracle, Phase Forward, and Intralinks. Jim holds an MBA from Penn State University and a BA in Economics from Dickinson College. He lives in Wayne, PA with his wife, Linda, and four children, where he enjoys playing golf and planning vacations with his family.
John has over 20 years of experience in the software industry, holding a variety of leadership positions in global operations, marketing, and professional services. As Senior Vice President, Global Client Services at Suvoda, John provides comprehensive oversight, strategic direction and guidance for global services delivery teams. Prior to Suvoda, John oversaw services and operational planning for global accounts at Optymyze, where he was a key member in driving overall corporate strategy and executing business development initiatives for cross-functional business units including services, product, finance, marketing, and sales. John has also consulted with Fortune 2000 companies to structure and negotiate proposals for solutions bringing strategic outcomes that drove sales effectiveness and improved sales operations. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Delaware. In his free time, John enjoys traveling, hiking, reading (especially history and science), and writing.
As Chief of Staff at Suvoda, Kelly is responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives across the organization. Prior to this, Kelly spent 4 years as VP of Product Management and Marketing at Suvoda, where she led the strategic direction of the product suite and external communications. She has spent her career in professional services and product development teams, working with Top 10 Pharma companies in e-clinical focused organizations including Phase Forward and Oracle, as well as B2C technology companies. Kelly was a founder and CEO of Mixette, a B2C digital gifting company and worked at ScrollMotion, where she was a strategic product management lead for Fortune 500 companies including General Electric and Estée Lauder. Kelly holds a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Bioethics focusing on Neuroscience and Philosophy, a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine, and a minor in Italian Literature and Language from the University of Pittsburgh. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and traveling with her family.
Bob has worldwide responsibility for all accounting and financial operations at Suvoda. He brings more than 20 years of financial experience, most recently as Director of Finance and Administration at Arcplan US, a global Business Intelligence/Business Analytics software company based in Langenfeld, Germany. Prior to Arcplan, Bob was the Controller of several startup ventures in the Philadelphia area where he led companies through startup, growth through acquisition, and successful exits. He started his career at IBM where he held accounting and finance positions across several divisions including product, sales, and research. Bob holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College and an MBA in Finance from Syracuse University. He lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania where his hobbies include running, genealogy, traveling, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
Klaus Besier has over 35 years of experience leading organizations in the enterprise software space. Most recently as Chairman and CEO of RES Software, he helped diversify the global footprint and significantly grow revenues. Earlier in his career, Mr. Besier was President and CEO of SAP America, where he built and led the company's strategic direction to increase revenues from $50 million to $1 billion in less than five years. Subsequently, Mr. Besier also served as President and CEO of Firepond, which he took public in one of the most successful IPOs of 2000, as well as held the role of President and CEO of Neoware, where he drove topline growth that led to a $300 million acquisition by HP.
Frederick Kyle has spent his entire career in leadership positions in healthcare and life sciences. Mr. Kyle retired as President, Commercial Operations and a member of the Board of Directors of SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals. Subsequently, he took the position of Senior Vice President of the American Red Cross where he was responsible for the organization's blood and organ donor programs. Mr. Kyle has been a
