1.What is the Suvoda App?
The Suvoda App is a patient-facing mobile and web application that brings important study activities together in one place. Participants can complete questionnaires, schedule visits, book rides, view travel details, submit receipts, and track payments without moving between separate systems, emails, or paper instructions. The App is part of the Suvoda Platform, which connects clinical trial products and workflows through a shared data layer.
-
2.Who is the Suvoda App for?
The Suvoda App is designed for clinical trial participants, providing a single place to manage key trial tasks. Sponsors, CROs, and study sites also benefit: connected workflows give sponsors and CROs greater visibility across sites and countries and reduce the administrative coordination that consumes site staff time.
-
3.What can patients do in the Suvoda App?
Depending on the study, participants can:
- Complete electronic clinical outcome assessments (eCOA), including questionnaires and diaries
- View, schedule, and reschedule study visits, including sharing availability with site staff
- Receive reminders for visits, medications, questionnaires, and other study tasks
- View travel details and itineraries
- Book a ride and track rideshare status
- Submit receipts for reimbursement
- Track reimbursement status
- View payment history, balances, and other financial information
The features available to each participant depend on the study configuration.
-
4.Is the Suvoda App free for participants?
There is no cost to participants. Access to the Suvoda App is provided through the study. Participants can download the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, or access it via web when web access is enabled for their study.
-
5.How does the Suvoda App make clinical trial participation easier?
When study activities are spread across multiple systems, emails, or paper, it can be hard to know what needs attention and when. The Suvoda App consolidates those activities and gives participants one place to see what is due today, what is coming next, and what has already been completed. A simple task view, centralized information, and timely reminders reduce unnecessary back-and-forth with study sites and help participants stay on track.
-
6.How does the Suvoda App support patient retention?
Complexity and barriers are among the most common reasons participants disengage from clinical trials. The Suvoda App reduces both. By making it easier to complete study tasks, schedule visits, submit reimbursements, and stay informed, the App supports consistent engagement throughout the trial. Studies can also configure automated reminders and payment notifications to keep participants connected to the study between visits.
-
7.How does visit scheduling work?
Patients can view available appointment times and select a visit within the protocol-defined window. Depending on the configuration, participants can either share their availability with the research site or directly book an appointment by viewing the site’s calendar. Participants can also reschedule visits in the App. Availability reflects the study schedule and clinician availability configured by the site.
-
8.How does the Suvoda App support questionnaires and diaries?
When Suvoda eCOA is included in a study, patients can complete electronic questionnaires and diaries directly in the Suvoda App. Keeping eCOA in the same experience as scheduling, travel, and payments means participants see their full set of study tasks in one place, with clear prompts for what to do and when.
-
9.How does the App support travel?
When Greenphire Travel is enabled, participants can view travel details and itineraries for booked trips in the Suvoda App. Depending on the study and region, participants may also be able to book a ride and track rideshare status.
-
10.How do reimbursements and payments work?
When Greenphire Patient Payments is enabled, participants can submit receipts, track reimbursement status, and view payment history and balances in the Suvoda App. Payment methods vary by country and study, and may include ClinCard virtual or physical debit cards, bank transfer, or digital wallet. Some studies configure automated payments (micropayments) triggered when a patient completes a specific study activity such as a questionnaire. Payment timing, methods, currencies, and eligibility are determined by the study and the participant’s location.
-
11.Does every study include the same Suvoda App features?
No. The Suvoda App is configurable. Study teams select the capabilities that support their protocol and operational requirements, so the screens and features participants see may vary from one study to another.
-
12.What devices can patients use?
Patients can access the Suvoda App on their own smartphone or other personal device, on a study-provided device, or through a web browser when web access is enabled. The mobile App is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Device, operating system, and access requirements may vary by study.
-
13.Does the Suvoda App replace the need to call the study site?
For many common tasks, yes. Participants can schedule or reschedule visits, complete questionnaires, submit receipts, and check payment status without contacting the site directly. This self-service capability reduces calls and administrative load for site staff, freeing them to focus on patient care. If a participant wants to speak directly with the site, the app includes a support function with site contact details.
-
14.How does the Suvoda App integrate with other clinical trial systems?
The Suvoda App is part of the Suvoda Platform, which connects clinical trial technology products through a shared data layer. Depending on the study, the App may connect with Suvoda eCOA, Greenphire Patient Payments, Greenphire Travel, Suvoda Scheduling, and other study systems.
-
15.How does the Suvoda App compare to other clinical trial patient apps?
Many clinical trial apps address one or two participant touchpoints in isolation. The Suvoda App is differentiated by its connection to the broader Suvoda Platform, which means eCOA, scheduling, travel, payments, and reimbursements can operate in a unified participant experience rather than as separate tools. That integration also gives sponsors and sites a unified view of participant activity across all connected products.
-
16.How does the Suvoda App help study sites?
The Suvoda App gives participants self-service options for scheduling, questionnaires, travel, and receipt submission, which reduces inbound calls and manual coordination. Sites can review reimbursement requests individually or in bulk, depending on the configured workflow. Because participant data flows through the Suvoda Platform, sites spend less time reconciling information across separate systems.
-
17.How does the Suvoda App help sponsors and CROs?
The Suvoda App connects patient activity with the Suvoda Platform, giving sponsors and CROs visibility into study activity across sites and countries in real time. Shared data reduces duplicate entry and manual reconciliation and supports more consistent study operations globally.
-
18.Is participant data secure in the Suvoda App?
Suvoda has implemented safeguards that are intended to protect the personal information we collect. For more information visit the page detailing Suvoda’s application privacy policy and terms of use.
-
19.Does the Suvoda App support global clinical trials?
Yes. The Suvoda App supports study operations across multiple countries and languages. Availability of features, payment methods, currencies, travel services, and other capabilities varies by country, study, and local requirements.
-
20.How can I learn more about the Suvoda App?
